Find the Right Fit

A properly fitted collar should feel secure without being restrictive. Follow the measuring instructions below, then select the size range that includes your dog’s actual neck measurement.

How to Measure Your Dog’s Neck

  1. Use a soft measuring tape.
  2. Wrap it around the lower part of your dog’s neck where the collar naturally rests.
  3. Keep the tape comfortably snug, not tight.
  4. Confirm that you can slide two fingers underneath the tape.
  5. Record the measurement and use the chart below.

*Do not measure the total length of your dog’s current collar.

Sizing questions

What if my dog is between sizes?

Contact us with your dog’s exact neck measurement before ordering. Avoid choosing solely by breed or weight.

How tight should the collar be?

You should be able to slide two fingers comfortably between the collar and your dog’s neck.

Should I measure my dog’s current collar?

No. Measure directly around your dog’s neck. Existing collars vary in construction and overall length.

What about growing puppies?

Recheck your puppy’s neck regularly. Never select a collar so large that your puppy could slip out of it.

Does breed determine collar size?

No. Dogs of the same breed can have very different neck measurements.
